Lime Sour

I finally sampled last years new experimental: Lime Sour.

Had wanted to try it with Tequila, but didn't have any. So I chose Vodka instead.
Two parts Vodka to Three parts Lime Sour was an acceptable balance.

Second pairing was with Malabu Coconut Rum in a 1 to 1 ratio.
THAT was like crack, I sucked it down in a few minutes before I realized I had sipped it all away.

The Third pairing was using the natural sediment rich layer of sour at the bottom of the bottle.
This layer takes on a bit of a bitter quality (besides the sour) from the peal and pulp, so I chose to mix it with Absolute Chile Vodka. This was an interesting pairing, surprising in it's complexity and exhilarating in its extra hits of bitter and hot to kick up the in punch of sour.

All in all these three pairings were interesting and tasty.
The rum cocktail was the best in my estimation.

That said,
I still want to try with Tequila.
(But I'm probably going to give away the sample bottles before I get a chance.)
